The Selection Process

-Puppy selection takes place when the puppies turn 6 weeks old and have completed aptitude testing allowing families to observe their unique personalities. It is important to avoid choosing a puppy solely by color or gender to ensure the best lifelong fit for the family and to emphasize matching personalities and energy levels.

- Puppy Aptitude testing (Volhard method) is conducted in a new environment outside the puppies’ comfort zone, to assess their reactions.

- The testing is videoed and uploaded to YouTube for families to watch, helping them make an informed decision.

- I provide a personal assessment of each puppy within the litter based on the testing results.

- The scoring and assessment details are compiled in a Google document, with explanations on what the scores mean, to aid families in making the best choice.

- Selection occurs in the order deposits are received; no family is restricted by time once it’s their turn but we ask that they be mindful of the families waiting behind them.

- Families are asked to be available promptly to watch the videos once they are released on selection day.

- Visitors are welcome anytime after the puppies turn 3 weeks and up to the day before they turn 6 weeks, but not on selection day. We do not allow visits on selection day to ensure a smooth process and avoid scheduling delays Families may come visit again after the selection process is completed. There are no exceptions to this rule.

-Puppies are able to join their families once they turn 8 weeks old.
